The familiar stories, the integrated lies, the habits of survival are no longer intact or comfortable. The shedding brings into focus what can be discharged, cast away, what's outgrown and not longer supportive.
The release is a necessary abandonment of an exhausted identity.
The old skin now feels like confinement - barriers and bonds restricting new growth and healing.
The imbalance of old constraints and new freedom is forceful,
squeezing expanding
holding breathing
pausing moving
dying living
Pause - stretch - shed another layer of past pattens as a new growth rises.
The shedding of the snake insists on becoming from being. The new being becomes the new doing, becomes the next chapter.
The horse is impatient, flaring his fiery nostrils and stomping his hooves. He provides the energy to complete the shedding, and to awaken the passion to surge ahead once the final skin is shed.
